On Nov. 29, 1964, Wallich's Music City initiated the top 30 Flashbacks list, a list they maintained until late Sept. 1966, when they switched to the best-selling 8 Track Tapes. This, along with the Times Square Record Shop list (as early as 1961) were among the first of the best selling oldies lists issued by shops.
